It’s pure and simple, we have developed the best rat trap.

Some may wonder why we are so proud of this outdoor rat trap, but for those in the Seattle and Portland areas where rats are prevalent, this is really big news.

The Seattle/Tacoma region ranks ninth in a raking of the America’s top 50 rodent infest cities.

Seattle’s mild weather, good food and waterfront location are prime for rodents, especially rats. Seattle’s building boom is also a major contributor to the rat infestation.

First, However, a Little Lesson on Rats

Before we get into why we have the best rat trap ever, here is a little background on the dangers of rats in your home.

Rat infestations can spell catastrophe for you and your family members. Rats are known to carry several diseases with them which may leave you and your family exposed if it’s not handled properly. Some of these threats that you face from rat infestations are:

Hantavirus

It is nothing short of surprising that not a greater number of the population is aware of what this disease is and how dangerous its implications can be for them. What makes Hantavirus so dangerous is that it continues to be a realistic threat long after the rats have exited your house as it spreads through their urine and feces.

Most people contact this disease when they attempt to clean the areas that had been infested with rats. Deer mice, white-footed mice, rice rats as well as cotton rats are known to cause this disease through their fecal matter.

The Plague

Though it may sound crazy, the horror stories about the plague that these mice brought upon Europe in the early 14th century can still be a tremendous concern today. Rats often have fleas on them that act as transmitters of the plague virus.

There have been a constant number of reports of plague related cases in the past few years as people have failed to take the necessary precautions to avoid these rats inside their homes.

Rotavirus

Rotavirus can come in many forms such as stomach cramps as well as diarrhea. Continuous contact with rat feces can often lead to this virus.

There are some practical, inexpensive and easy ways that you can trap these mice and avoid any of these diseases.

Why We have the Best Rat Trap

Many pest companies rely on a bait and kill approach to take care of a rat problem. This causes problems on several fronts.

First, the poison intended for the rats may potentially expose other animals including your pets.

Secondly, it will not completely solve the rat problem. Not every rat that eats the poison will die. For those that do, they can die in our attic or walls and cause a major stinky smell.

Poison is simply not the best way to catch rats.  Without proper elimination, poison or any other method will simply not work.

That is why at Crawl Pros we take a proven, humane approach to deal with rat infestation and rodent exclusion. Here are the steps we take to solve your rat issues:

First we perform a thorough inspection of your home to determine the location and entry point(s) to your home.

Once identified we perform exclusion methods to preclude rats from entering your home. We seal all openings to those entry points as small as 3/8”. We use a product called Xcluder®, to seal entry points.  Xcluder® is a non-corrosive material made of stainless steel fibers and does not contain any harmful chemicals or pesticides.

It may also be necessary to fog the infested area with EXPEL.  EXPEL is an odor neutralizer that eliminates the bacteria that causes health problems. It also helps eliminate the pheromones that attract more rodents.  It is a non-toxic anti-microbial enzyme.

And, for the toughest rat cases, it’s our rat trap to the rescue.

Crawl Pros offers the most unique and best rat trap on the market. It is simply a rat trap that works!  The trap provides humane kill procedure for up to 24 instances without need for services.
